"No use in sitting alone in your room" It's a fact, play with others as soon as possible and your timing will benefit, your ear will improve more rapidly and you'll have way more fun. Isn't that why you decided to learn an instrument, so you could play well?

At our school, we don't want our students just to play a tune, we want them to make music. We teach a private lesson in which the student learns to play along with other instruments, thereby developing their ear more quickly. When a student has a few songs ready we invite them to come to group lessons, at no extra charge,  where they receive more training in a song circle atmosphere. On becoming proficient in their group skills, they have the opportunity to play out with us and the student band at festivals, and other musical venues. This helps them to gain confidence playing before an audience and is a tremendous experience.

If you live in our area, (Spring Hill, Florida) E- mail us, ken@strumhollow.com or call (352) 683-8245,  we would love to have you as a student. For the rest of the world let us share some of our practice tips,  learning techniques, jam etiquette and even a little bit of theory.

If you would like to see and hear what our students are working on, go to the Free Tab page.

In our teaching, we incorporate both private and group instruction to rapidly develop the individual's potential. We then encourage them to play in the musical community where they are highly welcome for their keen sense of musicianship.
