Dulcimers

We use solid Sitka spruce and walnut tonewoods, exclusively, in the crafting of all our dulcimers.  Walnut has the hardness and density necessary to project the sound while Sitka spruce is a strong, highly responsive wood used in many quality instrument tops for its fine tonal characteristics.

The Musical Wizard model (left) features a Scandinavian style basswood carving on the head, elaborate inlays of mother of pearl and abalone stars and crescent moon on the fingerboard. The soundholes feature shooting stars, crescent moon and various size stars. The top and back are bound with ivoroid/black/ivoroid binding.

Musical Wizard model- $1,300
